Topic: Inspiration or Fool?
"You don't need to go to San Diego," Franz protested. "I'll give you money if you need some." "No. You don't get it. I'm going to San Diego. And I'm leaving on Monday."(Krakauer 52). This quote was around the topic of the fact the Chris was going to San Diego. The very next page it is shown how he writes letters to Franz and Burres. He explains how he was living on the streets in San Diego and how now he is a hobo in Seattle! This is more of me thinking he is a fool rather than an inspiration, I know I would never want to be in that position in my life even if I wanted to get away I would always want some sort of shelter. He could've at least accepted the money and maybe I would've cut him a little more slack but he didn't take Franz's money and winded up living on the cold, hard streets.
